What is Holistic Health Coaching?
Holistic health coaching uses techniques to help clients create a lifestyle that will bring more balance, health and happiness into their lives. By taking a broader view of the factors, which determine one’s wellbeing and analysing how they are interconnected, allows for incremental and long lasting growth to be maintained.
The many segments of wellness can’t stand in isolation if one’s wellbeing is the ultimate goal. Defining and creating habits to allow clients to flourish in multiple areas of their life is the key to generating true holistic health.
Over the course of 6 fortnightly sessions we will work together to examine areas of your life that you choose to improve. During each 50 minute session we will look into how you can improve the health of one or two segments. I will introduce you to a number of tools, techniques and knowledge that will allow you to leave the session with the direction and confidence to implement them into your routine over the subsequent weeks.
Whilst encouraging you to make incremental and positive changes I will also hold you accountable to seeing them through. I come from an ethos that we will very much be a team but the effort needs to come from both parties.

Quite simply put, anyone and everyone. Personal training is tailored to your stated desires, goals and well-being. I have always maintained that I am not here to make anyone cry. I aim to push you hard but always with the intention of keeping you smiling.

What are some of the options available?
Training sessions can be in person, either at your home or outdoors, or even through livestream depending on which suits you best. Whilst I very much enjoy the energy of being in person with clients, 2020 has demonstrated that training virtually is can be just as effective and even more time efficient.
I train one-to-one, couples, small groups and corporate teams. And my experience ranges from helping clients looking to run a 10km race for the first time, to pregnant women keen to stay active prior to the birth of their child, through to getting cancer survivors back into a fitness regime.

What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?
Vinyasa is a style of hatha yoga based around sequential postures and breathing. The dynamic flow creates compound movements which will warm your muscles and allow you to gradually get deeper into the postures during the course of the practice. Linking your breath to the movement allows you to come into the present moment and helps calm the mind. As one becomes more proficient at this discipline it really is possible to see a true different between when you step on to and when you step off the mat.
Breathing is central to the flow. The rhythmic repetition in the practice allows you to enter a state of almost pure focus, calming the mind, while moving fluidly.
My Experience with Yoga
I came to yoga after my rugby career finished. I was looking for a form of exercise that would increase my flexibility whilst building strength. What I got from vinyasa yoga was far more. I started to see the benefits of controlling and enhancing my breath and found that away from the mat I was far calmer in everything that life threw at me. I continue to practice four times a week and love helping others discover the powerful benefits of the discipline.
